Who we are and our project

Hello to you who is now in our blog for the first time.

We are very pleased to have you with us, and happy to know that you had some interest in our project!

Probably you already know who we are: four girls with a big objective to help Niger to have hope, specially in the health area. Our team is composed by one doctor, one nutritionist and two nurses. We are aiming to go to Niger on January of 2012. Three of us will be there for one month (just the holyday, because of our studies), and one of us will be there for 6 months to continue the work, and try to help more.

This is a serious work. We want to keep trying to help people whithin the country reporting the situation of health to the WHO, UNO and who can help.
We also believe that this project doesn't finish on Niger. We want to do more in other countries of the world.

Why Niger???

Niger is one of the poorest countries in the world...There is a lack of care and health professionals in the country. A great number of infectious diseases is over this people, beside the great number of undernourished.

Acoording to WHO, the main health problems are:
-Tuberculosis
-Malaria
-HIV
- Childhood Illness
-Maternal mortality
- Malnutrition and poor hygiene

We need some donations, since simple material for nursing and dietary supplements to medications. For this, we need your help.

If you want to help, you can contact us at: anaruthbloch@yahoo.com.br / tefa.nutricao@gmail.com

or also our bank account is below.

We will do our best to help this people. You can follow our trip here, since now until the time we be in Niger!

Thanks for your time, and help!
